They’re Building WHAT At Southfork Ranch?

Southfork Ranch in Parker, TX, the legendary property associated with the classic television show Dallas, is about to see some big changes. Here’s what we know:

Centurion American. a DFW based developer, purchased the property in 2022. Centurion Amercan has projects all over North Texas. Some will know them because they are the developer behind the redeveloping the old Collin Creek Mall site in Plano near Richardson for mixed use multifamily.

When the property was purchased in 2022, the developers indicated there would be homes built, and that efforts would be made to preserve the most historic parts of the property. Southfork Ranch is currently used for various events, concerts, and property tours. Fun fact: The first few episodes of Dallas were actually shot here in Frisco at Brinkmann Ranch, before being moved to Southfork Ranch in Parker during season one.

Specific details about the homes, including pricing or floorplans aren’t available yet at the time of this article. We do know that two zoning requests were made on August 22nd to the City of Parker’s Planning and Zoning Commission for residential made on the 241 acre ranch: 151.316 acres, and 54.053 acres (two different surveyed areas.) That leaves over 35 acres left, presumably for the more historic section/events.
