Halloween Safety Tips

Here are three tips to help this Halloween be a safe and happy experience for every child and family!

Costumes

Wear costumes that fit properly (especially the footwear) and make sure any masks don’t obscure vision. Find a way to incorporate some reflective strips or glowsticks, or any other sort of item that shines brightly in the dark and is visible to drivers.

Candy

Make sure all candy is professionally wrapped and not open or in homemade packaging.

Trick or Treating

Plan your walking route ahead of time, stay on sidewalks, and only cross the street at established intersections. If you’re in a large group, be careful to make sure nobody falls behind and gets missed.
