Financial Help And Other Assistance In DFW

Here is a list opportunities, organizations, and agencies designed to help those with a variety of needs here in DFW. This list will continue to grow as new groups are added. Please, reach out to us if you know of an organization you believe belongs on this list!

First off, let’s get everyone set up with these two rebate apps: Ibotta and Rakuten. They are free, require zero fees or payment to set up, and can help you earn money back on regular day to day purchases. This is a no brainer moving forward and works on smartphones and computer browsers.

IBOTTA

We’ve written about Ibotta before. Just using it casually throughout the year at places like HEB, Target, Walmart, Costco, Amazon, Home Depot, Ulta, etc. usually pays for our Christmas gifts at the end of the year! It works for both in-store and online shopping, and pays out to either your PayPal, or directly into a bank account! There is an option to cash out earnings in the form of gift cards as well. Use our code and they’re automatically start you off with a free cash bonus ($10 at the time of writing) in your account. No catch.

If you use this code when you sign up they put $10 in your account to start out with. It is a no brainer to use the code when you sign up. Feel free to give the same code to anyone you think could benefit from using this Ibotta app! It is ok to share!

Rakuten:

We use Rakuten as a browser plugin on our laptops. When we visit a website with a current deal a pop up window lets us know how much money we will get back on a purchase. We simply activate the amount and the plugin logs it for us, and at the end of the month a check magically appears with all the money we earned. It is a very passive process.

Retailers like Nordstrom, Disney, Samsung, Nike, and even places like hotels and grocery delivery partner with Rakuten. Right now if you use our code you get $40 awarded to you, for free. The promotions change all the time.

That’s it. That’s Rakuten.

At the time of writing, the promotion is: Join, spend $40, get $40. I don’t know about you, but for me that’s any online purchase!
